Trivia
New instruments have just been washed
Throughout the manufacturing process for a horn, the instruments are washed a number of times to remove any dirt and other substances that get on them in the course of the work. One of the very last processes that a horn undergoes before it is finished is a washing process, which means that all new horns have been washed very recently. Generally, when it comes to care and maintenance, once every six months is often enough to wash a horn, meaning that with a new horn, it does not need to be washed with quite the same frequency.
