Ball bearings or strings?
There two styles of lever action on a horn-ball bearing or string-but the string style is more popular. The string connects the lever and the rotor, and though the ball-bearing has the mechanical feel of a kick starter and is either all on or all off, the string mechanism is very smooth in contrast, and the lever height can be adjusted to any height.
