Manufacturing the pistons
Precision is also essential in the manufacture of the pistons
1. Broaching
Holes are bored precisely in six locations on each of the three pistons.
2. Brazing process
Tubes which will serve as three distinct pathways for air are brazed into the holes in the piston tube.
3. Precision grinding process
The protruding sections of the tubes have been ground away.
