Also, when a high pitch is sought, aside from switching to a longer bocal, it is also possible to pull the bocal out from the tenor joint a little. However, this must be done while ensuring the pianissimo tone hole on the bocal remains within the range of the whisper key pad.
Conversely, when a low pitch is desired, try switching to a shorter bocal or pushing the bocal as far as possible into the tenor joint.
