Adjustment
Delicate adjustment is performed to ensure that the keys and key posts remain steady and that there are no gaps between the pads and the tone holes.

Inspection
A rigorous functional inspection is carried out that encompasses the instrument's sustain, sound quality, key action, key interaction, tuning, and playability. The tuning is checked using a strobe tuner.

Polishing
The keys and body of a clarinet which has passed this rigorous inspection are polished to a shine and the instrument is shipped.
