Giving Shape to the Future −The Method Behind Yamaha Design
Corporate Museum "Innovation Road" Special Exhibition

Yamaha focused on the importance of design from very early on, and formed a specialist design organization in 1963. The design philosophy established in 1987, 100 years after the founding of the company, lives on even today in the design of our products. "We aim for innovative designs that capture the essence of the product, express that essence without excessive ornamentation, and subtly, and achieve harmony with society." In tandem with our everyday product development, it is our ongoing pursuit to create a vision for the future and to construct an identity for ourselves that has allowed us to bring this design philosophy to reality. By showcasing a series of such efforts, this special exhibition illustrates the consistent stance of Yamaha design.
