The Violyre is a Yamaha original string instrument in which the left hand regulates tone intervals with a keyboard feel, and the right hand draws the bow for nice and easy playing.
Played with a bow for tones like a violin or cello or with a pick or fingers for graceful tones like a mandolin or guitar, this instrument was popular with middle-aged and older musicians.
