The curves created by the differing lengths and thicknesses of the resonator pipes of a marimba, and the curved surface from the tank to the seat, designed for optimal air resistance and ergonomics. Each was designed for functionality, yet is also imbued with emotional aspects. The curve of the marimba resonators announces the instrument’s presence on the stage and inspires the marimbaist’s trust, while the curve of the motorcycle enhances unity with the motorcyclist and heightens their expectations for the ride ahead.
