Wind MIDI Controller/1987

[ Image ] WX7

A MIDI controller developed to enable wind instrument players to synthesize sounds, which can be used to control MIDI tone generators with the same playing techniques as a saxophone or clarinet.
The instrument consists of the main unit and a compact belt pack called a Power Supply Box, from which a MIDI cable connects to the synthesizer.
Our design earned the top Product Design Award from the Good Design Awards in 1987, and was selected for New York's Museum of Modern Art permanent collection.
