[Permanent exhibit] CFX concert grand piano development story exhibit

Beginning on October 1, 2024, Innovation Road will host a permanent exhibition that illustrates the challenges involved in developing the CFX concert grand piano, along with the "Unibody Concept" design philosophy that was key to its success.
The CFX was developed over a period of more than 10 years following the release of the preceding model. This exhibit looks at the "Unibody Concept" that was key to that development, and also focuses on Yamaha's thoughts towards pianists—the background to the creation of this concept—and the craftsmanship and cutting-edge technologies that helped it become a reality. Visitors can also use a music box to compare two different models, one made using the Unibody Design concept, and the other not, to experience the differences in sound and resonance.
This exhibit offers visitors an in-depth understanding of Yamaha's flagship concert grand piano, the CFX, as well as giving them an opportunity to try playing it. We hope that you will pay a visit.
