Type 4 (Serial No. 63170)
Organ/1900s
Soon after the founding of Nippon Gakki Co., Ltd. in 1897, the company adopted a Chinese phoenix holding a tuning fork in its beak as its first trademark.
That trademark is emblazoned in gold lacquer on the music stand of this Type 4 organ. On both sides of the trademark are paulownia trees, long revered as the dwelling place of the Chinese phoenix.
