Dr. Akira Maezawa’s Invited Talk at Soundtrax Film Music Festival

The inaugural Soundtrax Film Music Festival, taking place from October 16 to 18, 2025, at the Eastman School of Music in University of Rochester, will captivate and inspire audiences who love film and music and are fascinated by the magic of music in movies and media. At this special event, Dr. Akira Maezawa will deliver an invited talk, where he will present his recent work and introduce the groundbreaking initiatives of MINA Lab. A researcher in music informatics and the director of Yamaha’s MINA Lab (Music Informatics and New Applications Laboratory). He is passionate about delivering the rewarding experience of music-making to more people on this planet through technology. He leads music informatics R&D team MINA Lab inside Yamaha, and has developed music technologies and systems that are used in mobile apps, electronic keyboard instruments, concerts and interactive exhibits.
