New R&D Hub “MINA Lab” Launched at Yokohama Symphostage® to Accelerate Development in Music Informatics and New Applications

We are currently enhancing our research and development efforts in the Tokyo metropolitan area by establishing new bases. These bases will focus on fields with a high potential for innovation and offer ample opportunities for societal collaboration.

In November 2024, we proudly inaugurated our latest research and development hub, the “MINA Lab (Music Informatics and New Applications Laboratory),” situated within the Yokohama Minato Mirai 21’s latest landmark, the Yokohama Symphostage®.

MINA Lab is dedicated to pioneering research and innovation in the domain of music informatics. Our mission is to consistently forge novel values in the realms of musical performance and creation. The specialists in informatics for music and musical instruments have converged at this facility to engage in cutting-edge, innovative research activities daily. Furthermore, in our efforts to propel research, we maintain a strong emphasis on collaboration with other leading research institutions and companies, both within Japan and globally.
