Awarded Products ― Overview
TORCH T01 Digital Piano (Japan-exclusive release)
This digital piano features striking black keys made from the precious wood material, African Blackwood, that is typically used in wind instruments like clarinets and oboes ― specifically, the portions that are left unused after the careful selection and crafting process.
Yamaha is engaged in an activity called “Otonomori*1” to ensure that precious wood materials can continue to be used in future instrument manufacturing, and the TORCH T01 is a new concept model born from this challenge to pursue more sustainable manufacturing. Centered around the theme of African Blackwood, the piano is crafted to evoke a warm presence and tactile feel, with hand-finished details by artisans ― inviting as to build a lasting connection and continue playing the instrument for years to come.
In consideration of the environment, Yamaha has avoided the use of the commonly used PVC sheets for the exterior, with it instead featuring a hand-applied natural oil finish that highlights the wood's unique character and texture. Additionally, Yamaha's proprietary laser processing was used to recreate the natural patterns present in African Blackwood bark.

TransAcoustic Guitar TAG3 C / TAS3 C
The TAG3 C and TAS3 C are second-generation models of the TransAcoutic guitar introduced in 2016, equipped with Yamaha’s proprietary TransAcoustic technology. Featuring actuators built into the guitar body, they add rich resonance to the natural acoustic sound without the need for an amp or external effects. They have earned praise for their high-quality resonance, created through the seamless blend of the natural sound and the effects, as well as their playability and refined design.
In addition to offering three built-in effects, the guitar features a looper function that enables recording and looped playback, allowing players to layer phrases as they play, and thus fueling creativity. The dedicated app also allows players to adjust effect parameters, while Bluetooth® connectivity enables audio playback through the guitar. Together, these functions allow this single guitar to support the full creative process of music-making: listening, playing, and creating.
Both models feature a solid Sitka Spruce top treated with A.R.E.*2, with solid Mahogany used for the sides and back.

- *2 A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) is an original wood reforming technology developed by Yamaha. Through precise control of temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure, the molecular properties of wood are treated to achieve a more acoustically ideal condition, similar to the characteristics of wooden materials in instruments that have been played for years.
