Yamaha Selected as Yearbook Member 2022 and Industry Mover 2022 in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment

Yamaha Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Yamaha") has been selected as a Yearbook Member 2022 and an Industry Mover 2022 in the S&P Global Sustainability Awards 2022, a sustainability rating system by S&P Global, Inc.

Each year, S&P Global uses its proprietary Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) methodology to evaluate companies from three perspectives: Environmental, Social, and Governance" (ESG), and compiles the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), a global ESG investment index.

This year, 7,554 global companies were evaluated based on the CSA, and the top 716 companies in 61 industries (including 83 Japanese companies) were listed in the Yearbook as companies with excellent sustainability performance. Among the companies in the Leisure Equipment & Products and Consumer Electronics industry categories, Yamaha was selected as a "Yearbook Member 2022" as a company with an evaluation score within the top 15% and a score difference of 30% or less from the company with the highest score in its industry. In addition, Yamaha was selected as an "Industry Mover 2022" as the company with the highest score improvement from the previous year in its industry.

Through transparent and sound management and business activities that are in harmony with society and the environment, Yamaha will continue to promote sustainability initiatives in order to secure the trust of its stakeholders, contribute to the sustainable development of society, and increase its corporate value over the medium to long term.
