Continuing on from FY2024, our theme for FY2025 is “Life.”
Yamaha Corporation and Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., will explore and express the word “Life”—which has many meanings—from a range of perspectives.

This illustration depicts the tension and excitement of the moment when a child sneaks into their parent’s private space and lays their hands on their parent’s precious guitar or motorcycle for the first time.
Given the theme of “Life,” I decided to contemplate my own from my present perspective.
Now that I am grown up, I can see that my younger sister resembles my mother and my older brother is easygoing and lackadaisical like my father. Like them, I too am subconsciously influenced by my parents.
I’ve always intended to live my own life, but in fact I am just farther along the path my parents walked before me.
Timeless possessions like motorcycles and musical instruments are passed down from parents to children to be cherished for generations to come.
Children are naturally attracted to the things their parents treasure. The things passed down through generations are more than mere objects—they are special items that come to symbolize the lives of the parents.
Every time a child touches one of these special things, they vividly recall their memories with their parents and the time they spent together, and write a new chapter in a story that spans generations.
