Yamaha’s creations are incomplete.
Neither motorcycles nor musical instruments can stand on their own without support from the people who use them, and both require a certain level of skill and the correct posture to use them.
Users sometimes become frustrated with these devices, wondering why they are so difficult, why they don’t do what they want them to do. With repetition, however, there comes a moment when they begin to move or sound as such a tool should.
However, the user may conclude that they were the ones being supported and come to the realization that they have grown a little more than before.
Yamaha’s creations are incomplete because they are created with the capacity for human involvement. They are tools that respond to people who are serious about enjoyment, supporting their users and weaving their lives together. This image was hand-drawn as an expression of the irreplaceable relationship between people and tools.
