Yamaha and Steinberg Unveil an Ecosystem Built with Partners

Hamamatsu, Japan ― Yamaha Corporation has released firmware and software updates for the MGX Series digital mixing consoles, URX Series audio interfaces, and the CC1 controller.

With this update, Yamaha and Steinberg introduce an ecosystem enabled through collaboration with partner companies, while also delivering newly added features.

Going forward, we will continue to plan updates that enable more flexible and seamless workflows across a wide range of environments―including live sound, installed audio, streaming, and music production―to respond to the valuable feedback and requests we receive from customers around the world.

The following updates are included in this release:

• Tools for MGX/URX V1.1 (Firmware V1.2)
• Tools for CC1 V1.1
• MGX/URX Plugin for Elgato Stream Deck (available via Elgato Marketplace)
• Steinberg MixKey V1.0 (available via Steinberg MixKey Web site)

With this update, key functions of the MGX and URX can be controlled from the CC1 and Elgato’s Stream Deck. This simplifies workflows and enables faster operation during live PA, streaming, and recording.

New integration functionality connects the MGX/URX series with Steinberg’s DAWs Cubase and Nuendo, as well as MixKey, an audio software mixer designed for streamers and content creators. By seamlessly integrating hardware and software, the system provides a refined workflow for recording, streaming, and content creation.

• Input channel settings, effect parameters, monitoring, and more can be controlled from the custom pane panel on the software side.
• Simplified routing between software and hardware.

In addition to the features described above, the update includes more than 30 improvements, such as the addition of Sound Pad Editor functionality (MGX only), stereo pair support, expanded microSD functionality, as well as various optimizations, bug fixes, and overall stability improvements.
