First Collaboration with Another Company Through Yamaha's Business Development Base Launched in Silicon Valley

Start of Collaboration with TuneForte, a U.S. Company that Provides "TuneCamera" Using AI Technology

Yamaha Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Yamaha" or "the Company") announces that Yamaha Music Innovations, a business development base set up by Yamaha in April 2024 in Silicon Valley, U.S.A., has decided to collaborate with TuneForte, a U.S. startup company that provides "TuneCamera," a service for musicians that utilizes AI technology.

In this first collaboration with TuneForte, Yamaha has introduced a beta version of TuneCamera at Yamaha Music London, the flagship store of the Yamaha Group in Europe. TuneCamera uses AI technology to automatically judge performance videos and carry out processes such as zooming and panning during musical performances. Its rollout will help create an environment that simplifies the shooting of more esthetically pleasing performance videos by customers.

Through collaboration with various partners, Yamaha will continue to propose new products and services that will further foster our customers' appreciation for music.

Background of the Collaboration

In recent years, customers have increasingly expressed a wish to post content featuring themselves playing musical instruments on social media platforms. In response to this need, Yamaha Music London became the first directly managed store in the Yamaha Group to install a permanent video and image shooting booth called the Content Creation Zone upon reopening in October 2023. While the Content Creation Zone allowed customers to easily record videos using their own smartphones and other devices, there was still demand for the capture of better-looking footage.

In light of this growing need, Yamaha Music Innovations, the Company's Silicon Valley business development base, had been seeking collaborations with startup companies to strengthen the development of products and services related to the expanding field of content distribution. TuneForte's goal to collect customer feedback on the beta version of the TuneCamera is in line with the Yamaha's aspirations, and the partnership between the two companies finally materialized in London.

The newly set up TuneCamera uses AI technology to automatically judge performance videos and perform processes, such as zooming and panning, during musical instrument performances. With the installation of the TuneCamera, customers will be able to capture more esthetically pleasing performance videos more easily.
