Creating a Remake of the Voicebank Based on the Voice of Ko Shibasaki

"VOCALOID™6 Voicebank galaco" BLACK/WHITE

To Be Released at the Same Time as "A.I.VOICE galaco" on August 5 (Mon.), 2024

Yamaha Corporation announces the release of the "galaco BLACK" and "galaco WHITE" voicebanks specifically for VOCALOID6 (Sold by: INTERNET Co., Ltd.) on August 5 (Mon.), 2024. The speech synthesis software A.I.VOICE galaco (Sold by: AI Inc.) is also to be released on the same day.

The "galaco" software is a remake of the "VOCALOID3 Library galaco NEO" created in August 2014, based on the voice of actress and singer Ko Shibasaki, for use in VOCALOID6 and A.I.VOICE. It is meant to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the original release, and was created through a collaboration with the Yamaha Corporation department in charge of SoundUD; SDR Inc.; and Victor Entertainment, Inc. This new remake has further enriched the software's singing voice in VOCALOID6, and the expressiveness of its speech in A.I.VOICE.

"VOCALOID6 Voicebank galaco" is a voicebank created based on the voice of Ko Shibasaki. The voicebank uses the VOCALOID:AI synthesis engine of VOCALOID6, developed by Yamaha Corporation, to synthesize singing voices that are natural and richly expressive. The voicebank also supports the VOCALO CHANGER feature, which uses the creator's vocal data to replicate their own singing style as-is, and Multilingual, which makes it possible to sing lyrics in a mixture of fluent Japanese, English, and Chinese with a single voicebank. There are two types of singing voices: BLACK and WHITE.

galaco BLACK
Offers a powerful yet natural singing voice. It is characterized by a versatile, spirited, and clear voice. It can sing songs ranging from the cute and devious to more mature songs.

galaco WHITE
A sweet and richly emotional voice. It can be adjusted to allow for various forms of expression, while still retaining some VOCALOID characteristics. It can sing both cute and cool styles of songs.

"A.I.VOICE galaco" is a speech synthesis software produced based on the voice of Ko Shibasaki. Anybody can simply enter text into the software to create and save an audio file spoken by galaco.

As with the "VOCALOID6 Voicebank ZOLA Project," the character designs for "galaco WHITE" and "A.I.VOICE" were handled by Ryo Fujiwara. The character design for "galaco BLACK" was handled by Hiro Hata, who worked on the image design for "VY1." Official "ZOLA Project" illustration materials by Hiro Hata will also be released on the official website (https://soundud.com/characters/) to commemorate this release.

The official demo song, "KUNOICHI Destiny," was composed by L!th!um, with character design and illustration by Makoto Tsuchibayashi. There will also be demo songs by a total of more than 10 VOCALOID producers, released in order starting July 9 (Tue.), 2024. The creators participating are as follows.
