Using sound technology to change the way the world does business
In 2006 Yamaha released an IP telephone meeting system that combined the acoustic and network technologies that we had accumulated. This system allowed meetings between people in separate locations to proceed smoothly.

Protecting the privacy of conversations
Yamaha developed information-masking technology that masks the content of conversations at hospitals and public service counters. This technology was put to use in our Speech Privacy System in 2011.

Universal design with sound—the "OMOTENASHI GUIDE"
We developed unique techniques that allowed us to piggyback digital information on an acoustic signal for transmission, making it possible to transmit translated content to smartphones which matched the content of audio announcements heard. We are promoting this new initiative, which is intended to help the elderly, hearing-impaired, and those who do not speaker Japanese.
