Highly expressive musical instruments require powerful dedicated LSIs. We couldn't rely on other companies for this...
Let's build an LSI factory for musical instruments
1971
The LSI factory is completed
Equipped with innovative facilities, the LSI factory was opened in 1971 as part of our efforts to gain a foothold in LSI technology in addition to our musical instrument manufacturing.
1977
Development of proprietary LSI for the Electone
In 1977, we marshalled the electronic technology of the day to create solid-state integrated circuitry for the PAS system, combining the advantages of analog and digital technologies. This new circuitry was able to produce lively, expressive sound.
1983
External sales of LSIs begins
External sales of LSIs that were based on the tone generation, image processing, and signal processing technologies achieved in the development of home computers began in 1983. Beginning with the MSX personal computer, this contributed to the development and popularity of many digital devices.
