Trying to create enjoyable music classes

Trial music classes began in 1954 with the name changing to “Yamaha Music School” in 1959. Yamaha Music Foundation was established in 1966 and since then, more than 5.5 million people have studied in Japan, advancing to more than 40 countries and regions worldwide. From 2024, it has been developed as “YAMAHA MUSIC SCHOOL”.

Fostering new talent and sharing musical inspiration

Events such as the Junior Original Concert, Composition Competition (which would later become the Yamaha Popular Song Contest), and the Light Music Contest contributed to the creation of new music and the establishment of a culture of enjoyment.
