[Main visual] Real Sound Viewing

Real Sound Viewing is a system based on the concept of a “vacuum-packed live performance” that preserves and reproduces artists’ performances exactly as they were originally played.
The system recreates live performances by actually playing acoustic instruments along with the recorded signals of electronic instruments, using ultra-high accuracy audio data digital processing technology to create a perfectly combined, complete and realistic performance

About

Four Features of Real Sound Viewing

[Image] Reproduction of performances with real instruments

Reproduction of performances with real instruments

Performances are reproduced using real instruments by attaching proprietary devices that transmit vibrations in the same way as a musician playing the instrument would. A wide range of instruments can be played—from strings like contrabass and cello, to drums and other percussion, to piano and keyboards. Thanks to technology that captures the movements of high hats and cymbals, even drum performances can be recreated with incredible accuracy.

Faithfully captures artists’ performances down to the tiniest nuance

Yamaha’s proprietary audio data digital processing technology faithfully preserves performances down to the tiniest nuance. At the same time, projected images give audiences an experience that makes it seem like the artist is playing right before their eyes.

Our newly developed re-amp system allows you to record and reproduce performance data from electric guitars and basses played by artists even more faithfully than before.

  • “Re-amping” is a method of recording and reproducing performances using specialized equipment to efficiently make music with an amp when recording electric guitars and basses.

Preserves performances as intangible cultural property

Faithfully preserving performances played with actual instruments allows us to pass down those performances just as they were to future generations as intangible cultural assets. Real Sound Viewing recreates performances by legendary artists, as well as helping to pass on traditional and folk music that has significant cultural value.
