COMMENTARY FROM THE PUBLISHER, Chris Gero: "It was one of two back-to-back, sold out shows Elton performed that year at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It was so deafening you could hardly hear yourself think. There was a diner-themed party going on backstage to celebrate and promote the recent album release Songs from the West Coast. This was an unprecedented photo shoot for us, because we set up and took photographs all day, from the crew loading in, to the set going up and on through the show. When the concert started, it was unreal--the joint was literally rocking. The floor was bouncing and rattling and the crowd was going crazy. It was an unreal experience.
