AvantGrand Hybrid Pianos

AvantGrand Hybrid Pianos
Yamaha is proud to introduce the first true Hybrid piano – the AvantGrand – combining unsurpassed music technology with a true grand piano action to create an instrument never before seen, heard or felt. While many digital pianos do a fine job of recreating the sound of a 9-foot concert grand piano, the AvantGrand goes a step further by replicating the sound through four strategically placed speakers that correspond to the microphone placement on the CFIIIS at the time of the recording. Another first is the application of the Tactile Response System which allows the vibrations typically felt on an acoustic piano to be experienced when playing the AvantGrand. This, combined with a real grand piano action, is sure to satisfy even the ‘purist’ performer who appreciates all of the subtle nuances of playing on an acoustic grand piano.
As digital instruments, they never require tuning which will provide great savings over the life of the instrument. The piano’s volume can be managed via the variable volume controller and the sound can also be amplified through an external sound system courtesy of the Audio Outputs. Lastly, a specially made dolly (sold separately) makes it possible to easily transport the piano from one room to another or within the room itself.
There are two models of the AvantGrand – the flagship Grand-style N3 and the more compact upright model, the N2, each in a beautiful Polished Ebony finish accented with chrome hardware.
