Thomas Palance's Biography

Thomas Palance has enjoyed a long career as a sought-after trumpet instrumentalist, conductor and educator. As a trumpet player, Tom has performed with high praise in all idioms. He has shared the stage with Clark Terry, Arturo Sandoval, Doc Severinsen and many other celebrated artists.

As a conductor, Tom has been asked to be a guest artist with Robert Bradshaw's Gloucester Dedication Orchestra, New England Chamber Winds and Northeast senior district bands as well as at the New Hampshire All-State Chamber Festival. He is also the Music Director of The Orchestra on the Hill, a professional orchestra based in Ipswich, MA with a community outreach component participating in many artistic collaborations.

After retiring from the United States Navy Band in Washington, DC with twenty years of service, Tom taught at the University of New Hampshire, Salem State University and the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. He is a professor at the Berklee College of Music.

As a recording artist, Tom is featured on several recordings, including his CD entitled Reflecting Forward, which features his original compositions. He has been a guest clinician with Yamaha Corporation of America at high schools and colleges in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Washington, DC.
