Shannon Hurley

Shannon Hurley's Biography

Named one of Rolling Stone Magazine's best artists on Myspace, Shannon Hurley broke onto the scene with her 2007 debut album Ready To Wake Up. Her follow-up, California, is a personal journey of finding happiness and pursuing her dreams of being an artist. The album has a light, alternative pop feel similar to Aimee Mann or Nina Gordon.

California was produced by Hurley and Guy Erez (Gypsy Kings, Jennifer Love-Hewitt, Ryan Cabrera). Guitarist Bill Lloyd from the Nashville duo Foster and Lloyd lends his guitar playing for key tracks. Brian Yaskulka (The Rescues, "Grey's Anatomy's" Sara Ramirez) provided his mixing magic.

Shannon's music can be heard on Sirius XM Radio, Muzak, Adam Carolla's ACE Broadcasting Network, and the Emmy-winning internet soap opera Venice: The Series. In 2010 she released an album as Lovers & Poets (with husband/bassist Ben Eisen). She is a featured vocalist on "Sun Gone Down", a trance track by Protoculture (out in July 2011 on Re*brand/Armada Music). California will be released independently on For Lenore Records in July 2011 and she will be touring in support of the album throughout the fall.
