Yamaha Announces All Access 360 Contest Winner

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 16, 2009) — YCAA, Inc. is proud to announce the winner of Jason Mraz's autographed SLG100S silent guitar, as was seen photographed with him for the debut of All Access 360 and on the cover of the Winter 2009 edition of All Access magazine. Congratulations to Emily Barron from Folsom, LA, the lucky winner of Jason's guitar!

"I'm so excited," said Emily. "I never thought a small town girl like me could win something so big! I love Jason Mraz and I love his music … maybe now I can learn how to play some of his songs. My step dad just recently passed away and he played the guitar so this has so much meaning to me and has really brightened my day!"

The Yamaha silent guitar series was originally designed as ideal practice and travel instruments, but the steel-string SLG100S and nylon-string SLG100N quickly became popular with touring guitarists enamored with its practical, feedback-free live applications and modern jet-age appearance. Backstage, on the tour bus, or at home, the SLG100 lets the user practice wherever, and whenever they would like.

Between Jan. 15 and May 15, 2009, contestants from all over the United States logged on to the All Access 360 site at www.yamahaallaccess360.com to answer a series of questions about six of the Yamaha artists highlighted in the most recent edition of the All Access magazine. The answers revealed interesting facts about the artists, such as what cartoon character they would be or what hidden talent they possess, and the answers were hidden throughout the site. The grand prize winner was chosen at random.

"It was great to see so many people enter the contest – the added bonus was that Yamaha's silent guitar gained exposure to an expanded audience of young musicians and music fans," comments Chris Gero, vice president of Yamaha Corporate Artist Affairs, Inc. "We are thrilled to present Emily with this one-of-a-kind instrument. We look forward to continuing to award Yamaha fans with more exclusive, autographed gear."

Beginning July 17, a keyboard signed by Sarah McLachlan, the cover artist for the summer edition, will be up for grabs. Contestants will once again be able to discover fun facts about their favorite artists as they enter for a chance to win. The entry form will be available at www.yamahaallaccess360.com.

In the meantime, Yamaha All Access 360's Facebook page will be continuously updated with hints as to what artists will be featured in the next edition, as well as announcements about upcoming contests.

All Access 360 was introduced in January 2009 as a way to bring fans even deeper into the world of Yamaha artists, offering an up-close-and-personal video perspective from the set of a photo shoot. Many of the videos also show a glimpse of life on tour, in the studio, or even in the artists' homes. All Access 360 also reveals scoop on preferred Yamaha gear straight from the artists' mouths, impromptu music performances, bonus photographs, links to their features in All Access, and more.
