Keith Everette Smith's Biography

Keith Everette Smith is a GRAMMY and Dove Award winning producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and a key member of TobyMac's Diverse City Band, where his horns are featured in many of the high-powered live performances in packed arenas all around the world. When not on the road with Toby, he is found playing lead trumpet with Denver & The Mile High Orchestra.

Smith is a lifelong trumpet player whose musical depth and unique creativity positions him as a sought after session player, arranger and producer from Nashville to Los Angeles. He has worked with a vast array of renowned mainstream chart-busting artists, such as Jack White, The Jonas Brothers, Lee Brice, Jerrod Neumann and Dolly Parton... to name a few.

Keith also has a very strong reputation in the Christian Contemporary Music scene with sought after credits such as MercyMe, DC Talk, Plumb, Dave Barnes, Lauren Daigle, Amy Grant, Marc Broussard, Matt Redman and Danny Gokey.

Keith played an integral part of creating Hillary Scott's hit single, "Thy Will" and he made significant contribution to soundtracks and scores for movies and television including "The Lone Ranger", "The Jersey Boys", "Degrassi", and commercials for SoBe (featuring Kate Upton). His television journey recently caused him to be hand selected to co-produce music for the 2016 People's Choice Award featuring Jane Lynch.

Since 2003, Keith Smith's proud instrument of choice has been Yamaha horns and he has been honored to be part of the Yamaha family since 2015.
