Jeffrey Strong joined the Los Angeles Philharmonic as Third/Utility Trumpet in the Summer of 2019. Prior to joining the LA Phil, Jeffrey spent four years as a member of the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra as Second Trumpet. He also served as a member of the Trumpet/Cornet section in "The President's Own" United States Marine Band from 2009 until 2015, where he was often featured as a soloist and chamber musician.
Additionally, Jeffrey has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the National Repertory Orchestra and was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago for two years.
A native of Fresno, CA, Jeffrey earned a Bachelor of Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music from Northwestern University. His primary teachers have included Barbara Butler, Charles Geyer, David Burkhart and Joseph Lenigan.
