Claire Murray's Biography

Claire Murray, a Yamaha Performing Artist, received her Doctor of Musical Arts from The Catholic University of America while studying with Alice Weinreb. Dr. Marray has presented masterclasses and clinics in Kentucky, Arizona, Minnesota, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and throughout the Midwest. She has performed with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Southern Illinois Music Festival, Paducah Symphony, The Kennedy Center, The Meyerson Symphony center and has recorded with the Washington Winds under the direction of Ed Peterson. Dr. Murray's affiliations include the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra, the Southern Illinois Symphony, Arlington Symphony, Keys Chamber Orchestra, Capital Wind Symphony, Capital City Opera and the United States Army's Fife and Drum Corps. In addition, she served as faculty for the 2005 Georgia Governor’s Honors Program and Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2006. Dr. Murray performs exclusively on a YFL-994AH.
