Twenty-one performers from around the world converged in Minnesota in early July for the 2013 Junior Piano-e-Competition. JiaXin Min, a seventeen year old from Shanghai, China, captured 4th prize. JiaXin started piano at the age of 5. Five years later, she continued her studies at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in the elementary school and was admitted to the middle school afterwards, where she received music and academic scholarships. Enjoy her Semi-Finals performance, which includes the works of Mendelssohn, Barber and Schumann. This uncut, unedited performance was previously recorded at Newhall Auditorium on the campus of Shattuck-St. Mary's School in Faribault, MN on Wednesday, July 10, 2013.
