Lisa Yui, Yamaha Artist and piano faculty member at the Manhattan School of Music, chooses two of Beethoven's middle period sonatas (Op. 53 "Waldstein" and Op. 57 "Appassionata") to illustrate his utter mastery of writing for piano.
