This performance is an EXCLUSIVE broadcast of internationally acclaimed pianist and Yamaha artist Claire Huangci performing works by Chopin, Prokofiev, Mendelssohn and Tierson, coupled with an up front and personal interview by Cathy Macbride from the Content Research & Development department of Yamaha. Huangci is highly regarded for her technical brilliance enhanced by her deep musical expression and playful flair, captivating audiences around the world and igniting their imaginations. Considered a child prodigy, Huangci began her international career at a young age, and has grown to achieve multiple honors including First Prize in the Chopin Piano Competition and the Orpheum Music Prize in Zurich—among many other accomplishments. Huangci has also performed with multiple esteemed orchestras including her debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra during her studies with Eleanor Sokoloff and Gary Graffman, the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra, the China Philharmonic Orchestra and many more. As one of the most in-demand pianists and one of the premiere Chopin interpreters of her generation, Huangci’s performance is not one to miss!
