NEW! Carmen Lundy
2013 Monterey Jazz Festival

Monterey County Fairgrounds
2000 Fairground Road
Monterey, CA 93940

Carmen Lundy began her career at the age of six with her first piano lessons in her hometown of Miami, Florida. As a young adult, Lundy attended the University of Miami in 1978 as an Opera major where she was introduced to the Miami jazz scene. She found her true talents as a jazz artist there and graduated with one of the first degrees in Studio Music and Jazz. Lundy then moved to New York City where she began making an impression working in multiple jazz circles, at a time when there were very few gifted, aspiring jazz vocalists. Lundy has been critically acclaimed by publications such as the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and the Washington Post. Her accomplishments also include several Top 10 albums on JazzWeek, a #3 spot on Billboard's Jazz Chart, and publishing over 60 songs resulting in the first publication of the Carmen Lundy Songbook. This uncut, unedited performance was previously recorded at the Monterey Jazz Festival on Friday, September 20, 2013.
