NEW! Mary Stallings
2013 Monterey Jazz Festival

Monterey County Fairgrounds
2000 Fairground Road
Monterey, CA 93940

Mary Stallings began her career as a jazz vocalist performing in Bay Area clubs as a teenager. There she had the honor of performing with Louis Jordan's Tympani Five, and industry greats such as Wes Montgomery and Ben Webster. During the 1960's Stallings also performed with legends Dizzy Gillespie and Billy Eckstine. After a brief time away from the jazz scene in the 1970's, Stallings began performing again in the late 80's. Since her reintroduction, Stallings has recorded nine albums and appeared at the Monterey Jazz Festival twice. In 2006, Stallings was the SF Jazz Beacon Award recipient in honor of her role in fostering the growth of jazz in the Bay Area. This uncut, unedited performance was previously recorded at the Monterey Jazz Festival on Saturday, September 21, 2013.
