Greyson Chance Joins the Yamaha Family

NASHVILLE, TN. (June 23, 2011) Yamaha Artist Services - Nashville is proud to welcome rising superstar Greyson Chance to its artist roster. Greyson, who chooses to play Yamaha baby grand pianos, has often been seen performing at awards ceremonies or on television programs with red or white Yamaha Disklavier pianos.

"Yamaha pianos always have that same texture and quality and feel, and as a piano player constantly playing on a different piano, that's incredible," says Chance. "Going to studios and going on tours, having that same feel is very important."

Greyson's rise to success was every bit of an overnight sensation. When he was 13 years old, he posted a clip of himself performing Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" on Youtube, and the rest, as they say, is history. The video went viral, Ellen DeGeneres came calling, and Greyson found himself on national television in front of his millions of new fans. A few weeks later, Ellen invited him back to the show to announce he would be the first artist signed to her newly formed label eleveneleven Records.

Since then, Greyson has been touring the nation and released two singles, "Waiting Outside the Lines" and "Unfriend You," and he will release his first full-length album this fall. He will be featured in the Summer 2011 issue of Yamaha's All Access magazine.

"Greyson is such a talented young artist with a blossoming career, and we are pleased to have him join our ever-growing roster of talented artists," comments Chris Gero, VP of Yamaha Entertainment Group.
