Yamaha Endorses Eclectic Singer/Songwriter Jason Mraz

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 22, 2008) — YCAA, Inc. is proud to announce the addition of eclectic singer/songwriter Jason Mraz to the ever-growing roster of Yamaha artists. Jason and his band are playing a ton of Yamaha gear on the current European tour and the upcoming U.S. tour, including an SBG2000 electric guitar, a PAC1511MS Mike Stern signature electric guitar, an S90ES synthesizer with workstation, an Oak Custom Drum Kit and a silent guitar.

"We're thrilled to have Jason join our Yamaha family," comments Chris Gero, vice president of Yamaha Corporate Artist Affairs, Inc. "He's got such an incredible amount of talent, both as a performer and as a songwriter."

The platinum-selling artist is known for hits such as "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)," "Curbside Prophet," "You and I Both," "Wordplay," "Geek in the Pink," and most recently "I'm Yours," which has reached #6 on the Adult Top 40 in the U.S.

The drummer of Jason's band Mike "Leroy" Bram will play the oak custom drum kit in Musashi Black. Keyboardist Eric Hinojosa will play the S90ES. Jason will play the guitars, both live and in the studio. Yamaha is also working to create a custom nylon string acoustic guitar for Jason to play on his U.S. tour.

Jason is currently touring Europe with fellow Yamaha artist Ingrid Michaelson. His U.S. tour kicks off Oct. 8 in Scranton, Penn., followed by a gig Oct. 10 at Radio City Music Hall in New York, NY. The tour ends Dec. 5 at The Fillmore in Miami, Fla.
