Yamaha Artist Jamie Cullum and Clint Eastwood Partnership May Be Golden

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 19, 2007) Yamaha Corporate Artist Affairs, Inc. is proud to announce jazz pop singer and Yamaha piano artist Jamie Cullum was nominated for a Golden Globe.

Cullum was nominated in the best original song category for his performance of "Grace is Gone," a heartfelt ballad written by Clint Eastwood with lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager. The unique collaboration was written exclusively for the film of the same name, and the soundtrack is available on Milan Records.

When Cullum learned of the news, he told the Sound Generator: "This whole thing has come about in a totally organic way. Clint asked me to do this song because he was a fan of mine – he took and used the first take of the song I ever did. It's amazing to be a part of such an incredible, subtle and elegant film; and the beauty of the nominated song is ignited by this jewel of a movie. I'm honored to be carrying it."

Golden Globe Awards are American awards for motion pictures and television programs, given out each year during a formal dinner. Run by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the ceremony was run as a fundraiser for entertainment-related charities. The 65th annual award ceremony was held in Los Angeles on Jan. 13, 2008 and broadcast live on NBC.
