Guitarist Nick Rowe Joins Yamaha Guitar's Artist Roster

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (Aug 6, 2007) – Yamaha Guitars is pleased to announce the addition of Nick Rowe to its artist roster. Nick's band Bloodsimple is currently on the Family Values tour alongside Korn. Nick is playing Yamaha AES920 and SBG1000 electric guitars as part of his onstage arsenal.

"We are excited that Nick has joined our artist roster and chosen to play Yamaha guitars," comments Mike Tempesta, Artist Relations Manager for Yamaha Guitars. "Nick's background and skills are impressive and we can't wait to see what his future holds."

When Nick joined Bloodsimple in 2002, he brought more than just hard rock guitar skills to the table. In fact, Nick is a classically trained guitarist who spent most of his life studying jazz. He has more than a decade of traditional music schooling in composition and guitar, but with an idol like Eddie Van Halen, it's clear where Nick's heart lies. Since the moment he picked up his first electric guitar at the age of 5, he's loved rock. So when he was presented with the opportunity to give a new edge to a heavy metal band, he jumped at the opportunity.

Bloodsimple, the creation of front man Tim Williams and Mike Kennedy, strives to take listeners on a journey of musical genres, blurring the metal line with bits of alternative and rock elements. Nick's diverse background made him the perfect candidate to add the depth the band was looking for, and he is credited for their three-dimensional sound.

Known for their explosive stage presence, Bloodsimple caught the attention of Mudvayne lead singer Chad Gray, who promptly signed them to his own Bullygoat Records label. Following the release of their debut, A Cruel World, in 2005, the band did extensive touring in the United States and Europe with such acts as Static X, Disturbed, Mudvayne, Stone Sour and Alice in Chains.

Also known for his producing skills, Nick is currently co-producing a live DVD of the latest Bloodsimple tour in Europe. He has produced, engineered and mixed endless live show and studio sessions, and on the production level he has worked alongside some of the brightest talents in the industry and has co-produced a number of independent rock records.
