Yamaha Guitars Welcomes Jeph Howard of The Used to the Family

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (Dec. 18, 2009) Yamaha Guitars is proud to add punk /emo bassist Jeph Howard from The Used to its artist roster. Jeph is currently on a US headlining tour, and he has replaced his old basses with the new Yamaha BB2024 series. Jeph stated that the Yamaha basses sound much better than his older basses and are very comfortable to play.

"Jeph is such a talented artist and we are thrilled to welcome him into our ever-growing roster of artists," comments Mike Tempesta, Artist Relations Manager for Yamaha Guitars. "We are really pleased that we can support him while he is on the road promoting The Used’s latest studio album."

The Used spent the entire year of 2008 working on Artwork, their fourth studio album, which was released on Aug. 31, 2009. They took several breaks while working on the album to be the headlining band on the inaugural "Get a Life Tour" and to play shows in Jakarta, Indonesia; Seoul, South Korea; and the United States.

The album was produced by Panic at the Disco's producer Matt Squire, making this their first studio album not produced by John Feldmann. The band wanted the album to be different from everything else that they've done in the past. The Used has achieved both gold and platinum status in more than six countries worldwide.
