John Brennan

John Brennan's Biography

John Brennan is a 1998 graduate of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Receiving a bachelor's degree in music education, he studied percussion extensively under Mr. Kenneth Green. Currently living in Plano, Texas, John is the Associate Director of Bands at Plano East Senior High School where he consults and writes for both the Clark High School Drumline and the Williams High School Drumline in Plano.

John is the Executive Director of Metro Alliance Percussion; an indoor marching percussion ensemble based out of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. In their first year out, the group went undefeated in the North Texas Circuit.

John has been a battery technician for the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps since the fall of 1996 after marching in the corps from 1992 through 1995. He has worked primarily with the bass drum line and tenor line, but also rehearses the full percussion ensemble on occasion. John is an active clinician, adjudicator, and performer throughout Texas, Louisiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Minnesota, Tennessee, and Kansas, and is an educational artist/endorser for Yamaha, Remo, and Innovative Percussion, Inc.
