Darron "Cookie" Moore's Biography

Darron "Cookie" Moore was born and raised in Detroit, MI, and he now resides in Fort Wayne, IN. He began his quest at a young age, writing his first song at the age of 12. Darron "Cookie" Moore has had a few lessons on the keyboard and bass, but for the most part is self taught. He plays the bass, keyboard and drums.

A significant part of his musical background stems from studies at Grambling State University and Wayne State University, but he is grateful for bass teachers Kerry Lacey and Lamont Johnson for teaching him music articulation. As an independent artist, he has released three albums: Nothing Else to Say released in 2002, Bass-is Loaded released in 2003, and his latest At Peace released in 2005. All music was written and arranged by Darron.

Darron has played for numerous concerts and churches in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. Darron has spent 2006 and 2007 as the Music Director for Summit Ministries International. He is currently working on his next project, and playing locally around the Fort Wayne and Indy area. Darron "Cookie" Moore uses S.I.T Strings, and G.K. amps and plays Yamaha basses.
