Bret Simmons's Biography

Bret's career has encompassed almost every aspect of the music industry. In addition to his extensive composing and songwriting, he has worked as an arranger, producer, musical director and vocal coach. Bret's talents have been most recently showcased in his role as music director on TV's The Megan Mullally Show, as onscreen bandleader and effervescent keyboardist.





Bret has composed and arranged music for a wide variety of television programs, including: The Oprah Winfrey Show, Live! with Regis and Kelly, Jackee (NBC), Charles in Charge (Universal), Fame (MGM-TV) and A Special Olympics Tribute with Cliff Robertson (ESPN).





As a composer, Bret has written original scores for full-length theatrical musicals: Bite! (Hollywood), Cowboy Up (Phoenix Theater) and The Seafire Inn (Busch Entertainment Productions). He has also written literally hundreds of songs that have been featured in live stage shows and special events for numerous clients ranging from The Walt Disney Company to the Olympics.
