Brent Bristow is the Director of the Department of Music at Arkansas State University-Beebe, where he also serves as the Director of Bands and Associate Professor of Saxophone. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree and a Master of Music degree in saxophone performance from Arkansas State University, and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Memphis. His teachers include Allen Rippe, Dr. John Sampen, and Ken Hatch. Bristow was formerly a member of the Memphis Saxophone Quartet and is currently a member of the Arkansas Saxophone Quartet. He is an active performing artist, conductor and clinician. Since joining the faculty at ASU-Beebe he has been featured in performances in Hawaii, Texas, Washington D.C., Georgia, Missouri, and Mississippi. Recently, he assisted Donald Sinta in the penning of his biography. Along with these activities, Bristow has also worked in the commercial music field as a musician, songwriter, producer and studio engineer. In addition to recording and performing with the bands Alliance and Rhyme & Reason, he has also performed with The Temptations and The Enterprise Blues Band, a group made up of actors from the Star Trek TV series.
