Yamaha Pianos Take the Stage at Summer Festivals

Artist Anne-Marie McDermott

Continuing and strengthening a partnership that began last summer, pianist and Yamaha Artist Anne-Marie McDermott opened the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival’s 25th Anniversary Season playing Mozart’s 25th Piano Concerto on the Yamaha CFX Grand Piano. Alongside the Dallas Symphony under the baton of Maestro Jaap van Zweden, Ms. McDermott kicked off the four week season that includes residencies by the Dallas Symphony, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic, and performances by visiting artists such as Kirill Gerstein and Yefim Bronfman.

2012 brings not only the beginning of new partnerships, but also the continuance of long standing friendships, as we mark the 25th anniversary of Yamaha’s support for the Newport Music Festival. Featuring 61 concerts over the course of two weeks, the festival opens with Yamaha Artist Frederic Chiu performing his Classical Smackdown, and closes with Yamaha Artist John Bayless in a gala concert at The Breakers.

These are just two of a host of summer festivals featuring Yamaha pianos. For more schedules and more information, please visit their websites.
