This is a music company, so there are very few ties and sport coats around our office. We're more of a relaxed crowd in general, although we take a lot of pride in our products and work hard to maintain our leadership in the music industry. So we have balance and perspective. And we have fun.

For instance, every year Yamaha hosts a big-budget concert for employees that features GRAMMY® - winning artists. We also enjoy Halloween costume competitions, holiday sing-alongs, group participation in local charity events, and much more. Also, many Yamaha employees are passionate and talented musicians in their own right so it's not uncommon to go watch them play at local bars on a Saturday night.

Health Benefits

YCA has a flexible employee benefit plan that allows employees to select the coverage that best fits their needs.

  • Medical

    Employees can select between two Medical PPO plans which include a Prescription Drug Plan. Health Care & Dependent Care Reimbursement accounts are also available. Wellness program offers 100% coverage for physicals for all plan participants and well baby exams.

  • Dental

    Employees can select between two Dental PPO plans. Both plans offer orthodontia as well.

  • Vision

    The PPO plan covers annual eye exams, glasses, and contact lenses.

  • Life Insurance

    Employees can select up to 5x their salary in Life Insurance. We provide up to 2 times employee's salary at no charge. Employees can also purchase Voluntary Accidental Death and Dismemberment and Voluntary Dependent Life Insurance. Business Travel Accident Insurance is provided for all employees while traveling on company business.

  • Long Term Disability

    In the event an employee becomes disabled and is unable to work for 6+ months, YCA provides a LTD policy for all employees that provides for payment of 50% of their monthly salary until they are no longer disabled or become eligible for Social Security Insurance. Employees can increase this option to 66 2/3% for a nominal premium.

  • Short-Term Disability

    Employees can enroll in a voluntary disability insurance plan for employees who reside in states that do not have state disability available.



Yamaha offers various methods for taking time off. Taking time off fosters a healthy lifestyle.
Additional time off options are available such as Leaves of Absence, Bereavement, and Jury Duty.

  • Vacation

    Accrued from the date of hire and is available for use after 90 days of employment.

    Scheduled 40 hrs. accrue 80 hrs/year

    Scheduled 30-39 hrs. accrue 60 hrs/year

    Scheduled 20-30 hrs. accrue 40 hrs/year

  • Sick Pay

    Available to employees on their 90th day of employment and each anniversary thereafter based on the following schedule:

    Scheduled 40 hrs: 40 hrs/year

    Scheduled 30-39 hrs: 30 hrs/year

  • Holidays

    Twelve paid holidays eligible from 1st day of employment.



Yamaha offers a generous 401k program with Fidelity Investments allowing employees to contribute pre-tax dollars up to 25% or up to the annual IRS maximum. Yamaha's plan also accepts rollovers from existing 401(k) plans. The company match is 100% of the first 3% employees contribute. In addition, Yamaha will give an additional 3% contribution as a gift. Employees vest equally over 4 years.
