How can I make a reservation?
Please make reservations via the internet. You can make reservations from the Guide/Access page on our website. For same-day reservations, please contact us via telephone.
How do I change or cancel a reservation?

Can I visit at any time?
Innovation Road is open from Tuesday to Saturday. We are closed on Sundays, Mondays, public holidays, and on other days designated by Yamaha as holidays or maintenance days. For details, please see the Museum calendar.
There are three time slots for visits each day (10:00~12:00、12:30~14:30、14:45~16:45).
I will not be able to make it in time for the start of my reservation. Is that OK?
You can enter the museum at any time you wish, so long as it is within the time slot you have reserved. However, please abide by the stipulated leaving time.
Can one person reserve two time slots in one day?
Unfortunately, to ensure that as many people as possible can visit, we limit reservations to one per person per day.
However, if there is an opening on the day in question, you may also visit in the next time slot. In this case, we would ask that you leave the museum temporarily and then wait for the next time slot.
How many days in advance can I make a reservation?
Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance, not including the day of your visit.
Can schools use the museum for field trips?

Can I visit on the day without a reservation?
Unfortunately, even if you make the effort of visiting us, we will not be able to admit you if the museum has been booked or we have already reached our limit for reservations. Please call first to make a reservation and check whether it is possible to enter.
Can elementary school students enter without a guardian?
We do not allow elementary school students to enter unaccompanied. Children of elementary school age or younger must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
Visits to Innovation Road
How much time should I allow?
Although each person is different, on average many people find that approximately one hour is sufficient time for a visit. In some cases, those who wish to try out many instruments stay two hours.
Is there a time limit on visits?
To allow us time to disinfect the facilities, we have instituted a time slot system, with each slot lasting for two hours.
Is it OK to take pictures?
You may take photographs or videos, but please do not video or photograph the video content shown on the screens. Please also refrain from taking photographs or videos of Innovation Road staff or other visitors.
How many people may enter Innovation Road?
We have a limit of 50 visitors per time slot.
Are there any musical instruments or items of equipment that I can try?
We have pianos, digital pianos, synthesizers, Electone organs, acoustic guitars, electric guitars, electric bass guitars, Silent violins, electric violins, Silent cellos, drums, digital drums, marimbas, mixers, and other musical instruments and equipment available for you to try. To prevent the spread of infection, we do not currently allow visitors to try wind instruments. Some musical instruments may not be available to try at times due to maintenance or for other reasons.
Are guides available?
We offer tours guided by Innovation Road staff beginning at 10:10 am and 1 pm every Friday and Saturday. These tours take approximately one hour. For details, please refer to “Guide/Access,” and then telephone us to request a tour.
Audio guides in Japanese, English, Chinese, and Spanish are available for your use if you wish to tour Innovation Road at your own pace. You can download the guide application to your smartphone for use, or use one of the dedicated guide devices that can be borrowed free of charge at Innovation Road.
Do I have to pay to use an audio guide device?
Use of the audio guide devices is free.

Are pushchairs or wheelchairs available that I can borrow?
We have two pushchairs and one wheelchair available. As only a limited number of these are available, it would help us if you could contact us in advance. Please telephone us.
Are coin lockers available?
Coin lockers are available in the lobby. Use of a coin locker costs 100 yen, but this money will be returned to you after you have finished using it. If there are no open coin lockers available or if you have large items of luggage, please ask to leave them at reception.
Is there a coffee shop or restaurant available?
There is no coffee shop or restaurant at Innovation Road. There are vending machines available in the lobby for your use. Please note that no eating or drinking is permitted in the museum, and thus we ask that if necessary, you do this before entering.
Are there any gifts or souvenirs available for purchase?
Fountain pen commemorating the opening of Innovation Road 3,500 yen (There are only a few remaining. Please inquire with our staff for details)

Can my pet visit with me?
We ask that you do not bring your pets with you when you visit. Your guide dog may accompany you.
Is there a smoking area available?
Smoking is prohibited throughout the company premises, including inside Innovation Road.
How do I get there?
<By car> If you are using a car navigation system, setting “Hachiman station (“八幡駅” in Japanese) on the Entetsu railway line as your destination will bring you to the main gate of our premises. Note that setting Yamaha's address in your system will guide you to a different gate on the premises. There are Yamaha buildings on both sides of the road on which Hachiman station is located. Innovation Road is situated on the west side.
<By train> Two minutes’ walk from Hachiman station on the Entetsu railway line.
<By taxi> Approximately 8 minutes from JR Hamamatsu station.
Regardless of your method of transport, please call at the security checkpoint and then come to the reception counter.
Is parking for vehicles and bicycles available? Is it free?
There are visitor-only parking spaces available free of charge. You will find them to the right when entering from the main gate. Please ask about parking for bicycles.
Can I visit a Yamaha factory?
Yamaha's piano factory in Kakegawa City offers tours.
