The Yamaha sousaphone, designed to be lightweight with a powerful sound, achieves good sound quality from the front-facing bell along with a valve position allowing ease of play.
The weight has been completely lightened through the use of FRP for the body and ABS for the bell.
The angle of the lead pipe can be adjusted to allow the mouthpiece position to suit any body shape.
